I loved the book..eat pray love ...written by Elizabeth Gilbert and am now reading Committed..a sceptic makes peace with marriage. Still digesting the eye opening chapters about the history of  marriage! From ..."the more kin you had the safer you were"...to ..."...a delivery device of instant bliss..."...marriage throughout history has undergone huge changes and unbelievable shifts in expectations! The Quote that has me really thinking at the moment deals with the idea that maybe I believe that through marriage I am placing all my chances of happiness in someone else's hands..." perhaps I was asking too much of marriage. Perhaps I was loading a far heavier cargo of expectation onto the creaky old boat of matrimony than that strange vessel had ever been built to accommodate in the first place."
